°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ is now 100 days away from hosting its 100th Homecoming celebration. Thousands of alumni and friends are expected to flock to campus to join the celebration on Nov. 9.
This centennial celebration will be the first Homecoming for new President and CEO Dr. Mark Brown ’86, who started his tenure July 1. He is the 10th President and first alumnus to hold the position. As a student, the retired Air Force General was also a member of the Marching Crimson Pipers, the nation’s first HBCU band.
The football game against Miles College will kick-off at 1 p.m. CT. Tickets are available online. Because of the expected crowd, it’s recommended that attendees buy tickets for the game and parking in advance.
Additional information about Homecoming will be available on the university website. Details around the festivities are still being coordinated and updates will be shared as they are finalized.
