Mr. Render O’Cedra Terrell, Jr. and Mrs. Monica Smith Terrell have been selected as the 2020-2021 ϲͼ Parents of the Year. Since 2004, the couple has mentored ϲͼ students who have graduated and achieved professional careers as attorneys, doctors, educators and nurses. Render Terrell, Jr., is a 1988 Morehouse College graduate, a 1992 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, and a 2011 Graduate of LaGrange College. Monica Smith Terrell is a 1992 graduate of ϲͼ, 1997 & 2006 graduate of LaGrange College, and a 2009 graduate of Columbus State University. Render & Monica have been Educators in the Georgia School System for over 37 years combined.
In addition to recruiting cohorts of students to attend ϲͼ, the Terrell’s have advised a myriad of students on how to navigate the transition from high school to college. Mrs. Terrell, with her husband by her side, chartered and served as president of South Metro Atlanta Tuskegee Alumni Club (2015-2017). It was through this chartering an avenue for sustainable and continuous recruitment and giving of scholarships for local area students to learn the history, attend and graduate from ϲͼ was established. Currently, Mrs. Terrell is the Immediate Past President of South Metro Tuskegee Alumni Club.
Mrs. Terrell, with the full support of her husband, has extended her continued service as the newly sworn in officer of Tuskegee National Alumni Association, Incorporated Public Relations & Marketing Officer. As an Eminent Associate, Terrell proudly offers her continued financial support for ϲͼ.
Mrs. Terrell is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she serves in the Kappa Omega Chapter of Atlanta, Georgia as the Protocol Committee Co-Chair and serves as a member of the Sisterly Relations Committee. Mr. Terrell is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Mrs. Terrell took the initiative to assist me in making an educational decision, and her support has continued throughout my educational endeavors, and her support has extended to motivating me to excel in my career."
The Terrell’s are proud supporters of HBCU institutions, raising the third generation of ϲͼ graduates with three (3) successful daughters. Monique O’Cedria Terrell is a graduating senior majoring in Food Science at ϲͼ; Monet O’Cedriett Terrell is a sophomore majoring in Construction Science Management at ϲͼ, and Moneria O’Cedrion Terrell is an accounting major at Howard University.
