The ϲͼ Board of Trustees ratified the election of Natalie Diana Knight ’01 as the university’s new alumni trustee. The board’s action makes Knight’s tenure on the board immediate. Her term will continue through spring 2025.
Knight earned a bachelor’s degree in plant and soil science and is Director of State and Local Government Relations for Impact Public Affairs in Atlanta, Georgia. She has over 20 years of experience in public and private sectors in the agriculture, finance, water, and wastewater industries. Prior to her current role, she served as the Metro Atlanta Client Service Leader and Government Relations Director for Barge Design Solutions, Southeast Regional, and Government Relations Director at CH2M/Jacobs Engineering. She spent 12 years with the City of Atlanta in the Department of Watershed Management, the Mayor’s Office, and the Department of Finance.
“We look forward to Trustee Knight’s service on the Board of Trustees and the perspective she will bring to our decision-making. Not only is she a native of Tuskegee, but she also brings subject matter expertise in local and regional development through her experiences with the City of Atlanta and other municipalities,” said Board of Trustees Chair Norma Clayton.
“It is an honor to join the Board of Trustees as the Alumni Representative. I intend to bring my expertise to the body to move forward towards realizing our infrastructure development goals, building relationships with corporate and government partners, and nurturing engagement with alumni,” said Knight.
Knight fills the alumni trustee seat previously held by Clinton Timothy Branner II ‘90. “We appreciate and thank Trustee Branner for his dedication and commitment to ϲͼ,” Clayton said. “We look forward to his continued service and support.”
