Montgomery begins tenure in newly created enrollment management, student success VP role

澳门六合彩图挂牌 has appointed Joseph Montgomery 鈥� a seasoned higher education admissions leader 鈥� as its new vice president of enrollment management and student success. This newly created position signals the university鈥檚 strategic realignment of functions that recruit, onboard and support students throughout their matriculation.
As the university鈥檚 chief enrollment officer, Montgomery will oversee four key university areas: admissions, financial aid, registration and records, and retention and student success 鈥� areas that define the size, shape and character of Tuskegee鈥檚 student body. In doing so, he will devise a comprehensive strategy centered around enhancing the student experience and the university鈥檚 academic reputation.
University leaders anticipate the unified enrollment management umbrella to bring greater efficiency and overall effectiveness to recruiting, accepting, enrolling and graduating students.

For the past six years, Montgomery has served as director of higher education services for the College Board, a membership-based advocacy association comprised of 6,000-plus educational institutions and serving more than 7 million students worldwide through college readiness and student success programs. In this role, Montgomery has advised chief enrollment officers at universities throughout the southern U.S. on matters relating to admissions, financial aid, registration, student success indicators and other enrollment services.
Montgomery鈥檚 career experience prior to the College Board includes more than a decade of progressive university-based admissions leadership assignments at North Carolina A&T State University (Greensboro), Voorhees College (Denmark, South Carolina), and the University of Miami (Florida). He holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Voorhees College and a master鈥檚 from North Carolina A&T University.
Montgomery and his wife Tonisha, chief academic advisor for Virginia Tech鈥檚 Department of Computer Science, have three children: Sade, a sophomore at North Carolina A&T University studying animal science; Chandler, a middle-schooler and active basketball player, and Jaxson, an elementary school student whose interests include reading and computer coding.
