Dr. Diarra Blue, a 2009 Tuskegee graduate and star of the Animal Planet鈥檚 鈥淭he Vet Life,鈥 challenged the graduates in his keynote address.

鈥淵ou will draw on the experiences you鈥檝e had at Tuskegee,鈥 he said. 鈥淯nderstand what you know and learn what you know, that鈥檚 wisdom. And make sure you bring your legacy back to Tuskegee.鈥

He reminded them, with their new degrees hanging on their walls, they will represent Tuskegee throughout their careers. 鈥淵ou will have to make sure that when people see you, they see 澳门六合彩图挂牌 as well, after all its because of 澳门六合彩图挂牌 the reason you鈥檙e in this place today,鈥 he said.

During his address, Blue spoke to the graduates about the need to render service throughout the veterinary community as well as in their professional careers.

鈥淯nderstand as much as you are a veterinarian, you are still of service to the world. It is very important for you to understand that in your service, you remain humble,鈥 he said. 鈥淓very person that will walk through your door will have an expectation of your service. They don鈥檛 care how much you know, until they know how much you care.鈥

Along with receiving their DVM degrees, graduates were hooded and accepted the Veterinarian鈥檚 Oath.
