ϲͼ will offer individuals an opportunity to celebrate its 141st founding date with the 1881 Challenge, the university’s annual giving campaign.
The University will launch the 81-hour online fundraising event beginning on July 1 at 3 p.m. CST culminating on the university’s founding date, July 4 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Tuskegee’s goal for the giving day is to obtain gifts from 1,881 donors including alumni, university supporters, faculty and staff to help raise funds that directly benefit students.
“The 1881 Challenge is a great opportunity for the Tuskegee community to come together to celebrate the university’s founding date while also creating a meaningful impact for our students,” said Phillip Howard, vice president of the Office of Advancement and Development. “We look forward to a record-breaking giving day to provide additional scholarships and enhance the student experience.”
