Saralyn Smith-Carr and Lloyd Jarmon who will serve as Co-Chairs of the Dean鈥檚 Alumni Board,鈥 Dr. Perry said.

The College of Veterinary Medicine Dean's Advisory Board consists of leaders from business, industry, government, academia, alumni, and other stakeholders with the purpose of assisting the dean to meet the College鈥檚 mission by:

  • Advocating for the College as supporters and champions.
  • Engaging in and assisting with fundraising efforts.
  • Assisting with the enhancement of the College鈥檚 image, national prestige and sustaining its Legacy.

The Dean鈥檚 Advisory Board (DAB) will be led by George Robinson, DVM, MSPH. Dr. Robinson is the founder and former CEO of Heartland Veterinary Partners. Founded in 2016 and based in Chicago, IL, Heartland is one of the fastest-growing veterinary support organizations (VSO) in the United States, with over 150 veterinary hospitals throughout the Mid-American and Southern markets. The Company supports a network of over 300 general practice veterinarians who provide a range of animal health services to companion animals. Dr. Robinson is an active thought leader in the veterinary space and lends his expertise to many different professional facets. He received a DVM degree from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, a MSPH degree from Howard University School of Medicine, and a BS degree from Southern University.

鈥淚 am grateful for the opportunity to work with Dean Perry and the members of the Dean鈥檚 Advisory Board. Lending expertise and insight is a significant way for me to contribute to the 澳门六合彩图挂牌 CVM and the veterinary profession at large,鈥 Dr. Robinson said.

Over the many years, prior deans at 澳门六合彩图挂牌 College of Veterinary Medicine (former School of Veterinary Medicine) have utilized advisory boards to assist with carrying out the strategic plan, vision, and mission, and their insight has been invaluable.  鈥淯nder the leadership of Dr. Robinson with his 30 plus years of veterinary practice and industry experience will bring a valuable perspective to the College with innovative and transformative members as entrepreneurial partners and advocates.  I look forward to the leadership and expertise of Dr. Robinson as well as the Dean鈥檚 Alumni Board co-chairs, who are both alumni in the Class of 1978, Dr. Saralyn Smith-Carr and Dr. Lloyd Jarmon,鈥 Perry said.
