°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ Maintains Top 5 Ranking Among HBCUs in the latest U.S. News and World Report

In U.S. News and World Report 2022 rankings released today, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ has maintained its rank of 4th among the nation's best Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), tied with Hampton University and Morehouse College. The University improved its ranking among Regional Universities in the South, moving from #20 to #17 for 2022.

"I am delighted to see that Tuskegee remains among the top five HBCUs," said President Charlotte P. Morris. "The ranking is a university-wide success that reflects our commitment to achieve the best academic outcomes for our talented students."

The U.S. News ranking measures the quality of undergraduate education at HBCUs and other institutions of higher learning. The assessments are based on qualitative and quantitative measures education experts believe to be the most reliable indicators of quality education. "Tuskegee is on a very promising trajectory. The improvement in the quality of our education program is being recognized regionally and among our HBCU peers," President Morris said. "As we begin to implement our new strategic plan, I believe we will see even more progress toward our goal of being the leading institution among HBCUs."

Among other rankings, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ ranks as follows in the listed categories:

  • Undergraduate Teaching - Regional Universities South #13
  • Most Innovative Schools - Regional Universities South #16
  • Regional Universities South #17
  • Social Mobility - Regional Universities South #27

Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ offers 42 bachelor's, 16 master's, and six doctoral degree program options. In addition to SACSCOC accreditation, degree programs in specialized fields and disciplines also hold accreditation with their respective accrediting bodies.
