Parents and family members of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ students were on campus last weekend for the annual Parents' Weekend 2023 – "Celebrating °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ Golden Tigers – Head, Heart, and Hand."
The festive weekend included interactive workshops, enlightening seminars, and opportunities to connect with key individuals who play a pivotal role in their student's journey.
Parents Weekend offers a rich array of experiences that strengthen the sense of community and belonging at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ. It's a chance for parents to gain valuable insights into their student's academic and personal growth. Through engaging sessions and activities, they can connect with the Tuskegee family and witness firsthand the university's impact on their student's life.
"Parents' Weekend at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ is a cherished tradition that embodies the spirit of excellence, compassion, and growth," said Tameka Harper, Dean of Students at Tuskegee. "It's a time for parents to experience the vibrancy of our campus community and witness the transformative journey of their students. We strive to create a weekend of events that our parents will find enriching to celebrate while leaving them with even more memories."
Highlights of Parents' Weekend included:
University Honors Convocation – where students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements, followed by the family reunion lunch.
Academic program presentations and tours offered sessions with Tuskegee's college academic deans. Parents were able to learn more about each college and school and interact with faculty and staff.
The weekend closed with the All University-Wide Chapel Service, followed by the President's Farewell Family Brunch.
