MANRRS is a national society that welcomes membership of people of all racial and ethnic group participation in agricultural and related sciences careers. MANRRS members are encouraged to be full participants in other professional societies for their basic disciplinary and career interests. However, MANRRS attempts to provide networks to support professional development of minorities. It is a springboard for their entry into and advancement in careers where they otherwise could be lost in the sheer number and established connections of mainstream participants. For student members, MANRRS provides role models and networking opportunities. MANRRS also offers students opportunities to enhance leadership and organizational and public speaking skills, and to experience professional critique of scholarly worked in a “user friendly” environment. for more.

National Women In Agriculture Association (NWIAA) was founded and established February 2008 by Ms. Tammy Gray-Steele; who is the Executive Director. The organization is headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK. NWIAA is an agriculture outreach, fueled by sisterhood and diversity. NWIAA believes rural minority women have been often neglected; the lack of resources has stagnated rural development. NWIAA is the first minority woman owned and operated organization that provides innovative outreach education that attracts and sustains current and future generations with its innovative, spiritual, and USDA certified education techniques. The NWIAA Mississippi Chapter was established July 2011. The Alabama Chapter was established August 2011.

The Pre-Vet Club at ϲͼ is an organization that strives to give students in the field of animal science a chance to network with others in the field. The PRE-VETERINARY SCIENCE option is designed to meet the minimum requirements for applying to a school/college of veterinary medicine after only three years of undergraduate study. Completion of this option in its entirety plus the successful completion of the curriculum of the first two years at the ϲͼ School of Veterinary medicine leads to a Bachelor of Science. The completion of this curriculum does not guarantee acceptance into a school/college of veterinary medicine, as applicants are selected on a competitive basis. Students interesting in applying to an institution, including the ϲͼ School of Veterinary Medicine, should review pre-professional requirements carefully in consultation with their assigned academic advisors.

DAES-GSA is a student organization that represents the interests of all graduate students in the department of agricultural and environmental sciences (DAES) at ϲͼ. This club is designed to provide networking opportunities and to promote professional development in the wildlife, forestry, and natural resources field.
