Tuskegee Physics Department Visits听Booker T. Washington High-School

Spring 2023

These two visits听were an听outreach event at the Booke听 T. Washington (BTW)听High School in Tuskegee. BTW High school students were excited about learning a career path in physics and various science and engineering-related fields. Mr. Elvert Colvert and Ms. Felicia Windham had joyful interactions with high school students. We hope this teamwork will leave a lasting impression on the young minds of BTW High School students and inculcate their interest in sciences and physics. Special thanks to Ms. Felicia Windham, Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov (Resonance), Dr. Marisol Alcantara-Ortigoza (Light Diffraction), Dr. Sharvare Palwai (Refraction), Dr. Chitra Nayak (Roller Coasters), Dr. Moses Ntam (Electric Motor), Dr. Walter Malone (Rockets), Mr. Elvert Colvert, Dr. Kumar,听student听Ms. Soleil Chapman (representing TU-SPS) and PERSIST Scholars Mr. De'Quinte Robinson, Ms. Nilajah Buchanan, Ms. De'Shell Carr, and Ms. Brianna Matthews, who were all a crucial part of the demonstrations, presentations, and the entire event.
