Congratulations to the , Graduate Public Health Program's (TUCVM) staff member, Mrs. Samina Akhter, on completing training as the only representative from ϲͼ at the National Global Career Development Association (NCDA) International Conference held on June 24 -28, 2024 in San Diego, California. Mrs. Akhter took two four-hour courses each: PDI #1 - Career Construction Counseling for Well-Being and Succes, and PDI #5 - The Interconnection of Career Theories and Mental Health: 2023 Counselor Educator Academy.
Mrs. Akhter is the Assistant Director of Analytics & Career Placement and Certified Career Service Provider in TUCVM’s Department of Graduate Public Health.
Attending this training fulfills the requirement for Public Health’s accreditation Criteria H2 Career Advising (SPH & PHP) School of Public Health & Public Health Programs 2024 which is required to provide an evidence document explaining how career advisors are trained to understand the needs of a diverse student body and to address students’ career needs and support their success.
