Information literacy is a set of abilities requiring individuals to "recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information." The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êͼ¹ÒÅÆ Library Faculty is committed to providing faculty, students, and staff the necessary skills needed to use information effectively, information literacy, and critical thinking skills needed for success inside and outside of the classroom.

Turnitin.com, a web-based plagiarism detection software is available to TU faculty. Turnitin.com can be used as an educational tool to teach students how to work with sources and to improve paraphrasing and quoting skills. Turnitin's formative feedback and originality checking services promote critical thinking, ensure academic integrity, and help students become better writers.
